The journey from Madison to Detroit took about one hour plus. I had never been to Detroit before, i guessed their airport was much nicer compared to the one in Madison. As soon as the plane touched down, Kurniawan, Felix and I made our to a Japanese restaurant and we ordered Katsu-don. The food was nice, it did enough to alleviate our hungry pangs. We actually finished the food in just 15 minutes. We sure were hungry. That meant we still have about 1hour and 30 minutes before our next flight to Japan.

After 1 hour and 30 minutes, we were told to change gate and had to wait for another one hour. When we finally got into the plane, unfortunately the plane was further delayed for 1 hour. It wasn't clear why the plane had not taken off. The captain announced that the plane had suffered a slight engine failure. I was really pissed off. To make matter worst, the air in the plane was really humid and sweat was trickling down off my forehead pretty profusely - it was just like in sauna.

The journey to Japan took about 13 hours. I was really worried that we were going to miss the plane to Singapore. True enough, we did miss the plane to Sinagpore. That meant we had to stay in Japan for the next 10 hours. I was booked for the next day's flight to S'pore. Stopping at Japan wasn't bad after all. I had not been to Japan for almost 8 years. This was a good opportunity to see Japan.

IT SEEMS THAT THE JOURNEY BACK HOME JUST GETS LONGER AND LONGER

It was June 20. The day i made my way back to Singapore.
It was 5 am. As i looked outside the window, i could see the sky getting darker and darker. It seemed like it was going to rain heavily. True enough, it started to drizzle by 5.30 am. As i reached Dane County Airport, my heart started to race wildly. Why was i panicking? Was something gonna happen?
